Chelsea faced off against Malmo at the Eleda Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to pick up another win in the UEFA Champions League group stages. The Blues dominated the game in the first half but couldn’t break the opposition defence down as they went into the half-time interval with a goalless scoreline.

Hakim Ziyech finally broke the deadlock when he scored from close range in the 56th minute. Thomas Tuchel’s men kept enjoying more of the ball in the final quarter of the game and managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory away at Sweden.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player performed during the clash against Malmo.

GK: Edouard Mendy – 6.5/10

The Blues keeper hardly had a save to make in the game and secured an easy clean sheet on the road.

CB: Andreas Christensen – 7.5/10

He kept a good defensive shape inside his half and made a few promising runs with the ball from the back.

CB: Thiago Silva – 7/10

Silva made a couple of important interceptions at the back and was a threat at the other end as well.

CB: Antonio Rudiger – 7/10

The German centre-back got stuck in with a couple of tackles and created one good chance going forward.

RM: Cesar Azpilicueta – 7.5/10

The Spaniard was defensively solid and made two good runs with the ball out on the wide areas.

CM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 8/10

He caused all sorts of problems for the Malmo defenders with his creativity and tireless running. However, there was no goal or assist for him this evening.

CM: Jorginho – 7/10

The Italy international anchored the midfield quite well and engineered one good chance in the final third.

LM: Marcos Alonso – 7/10

Alonso did his fair share of defending and was a constant menace in the attacking end of the field.

RAM: Hakim Ziyech – 8.5/10

Ziyech scored the only goal of the game in the 56th minute. He also orchestrated multiple inviting openings for his teammates up top.

LAM: Callum Hudson-Odoi – 8/10

He made some decent openings for others around him and picked up a good assist for setting up Ziyech’s match-winning goal.

ST: Kai Havertz – 7/10

Havertz managed to give a good account of himself as a makeshift centre-forward. He even completed some dangerous dribbles in the final third.

RAM: Christian Pulisic – 6/10

He added some energy to Chelsea’s attack.

LAM: Ross Barkley – 6.5/10

Barkley came off the bench and had some bright moments in the latter stages of the game.
