Chelsea entertained Juventus at Stamford Bridge earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a positive result in this crucial UEFA Champions League group-stage game. The Blues managed to make a strong start to the contest and took the lead in the 25th minute courtesy of Trevoh Chalobah’s excellent finish. The West London outfit did well to get to half-time with a narrow 1-0 advantage.
Reece James doubled his team’s lead just ten minutes into the second half with a powerful strike before Callum Hudson-Odoi made the points secure for the Blues just three minutes later when he found the back of the net from close range. Timo Werner added another goal late in the game as the contest finished with Thomas Tuchel’s men earning an impressive 4-0 victory at home.
