Barcelona welcomed Benfica at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they focused on earning all three points at home and move one step closer towards securing qualification from their UEFA Champions League group. The Catalans dominated possession of the ball in the first half but failed to make the opening breakthrough as they went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.

Both sides canceled each other out in the second 45 minutes as the match ended with Barca being held to a scoreless draw in front of their home supporters.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the match against Benfica.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 7/10

The German keeper made two good saves to deny the opposition from scoring during the 90 minutes.

CB: Ronald Araujo – 7.5/10

He was strong in the air and made quite a few solid tackles to make life difficult for the opposition. He got replaced in the 85th minute.

CB: Gerard Pique – 7.5/10

The Spaniard dealt with everything that the opposition threw at him and ended up winning ten aerial duels during the game.

CB: Clement Lenglet – 7/10

He made a couple of important interceptions and was tidy with his passing. Lenglet even won a few headers for his side.

RM: Yusuf Demir – 6.5/10

Demir was unfortunate to hit the crossbar with his attempt and deserves a pat on the back for completing two impressive dribbles down the right-wing. He got substituted after the hour mark.

CM: Sergio Busquets – 8/10

The veteran midfielder anchored the midfield with conviction and made a few exciting opportunities for his teammates to score.

CM: Frenkie de Jong – 7/10

He helped Barca control the midfield battle and made two good runs going forward.

LM: Jordi Alba – 6/10

Alba did enough to keep the opposition frustrated inside his half but failed to influence the game in the final third.

RAM: Nico Gonzalez – 8/10

He created a lot of decent chances for his teammates and was always willing to run with the ball.

LAM: Gavi – 7/10

Gavi made two good chances during the game and also completed a few encouraging dribbles with the ball in the Benfica half.

ST: Memphis Depay – 7/10

The Dutch forward had his moments in the attacking end of the field but didn’t do enough to get himself a goal.

Substitutes:

RM: Ousmane Dembele – 6.5/10

He made two good runs with the ball.

CB: Eric Garcia – N/A

Garcia hardly had any time to make an impact.

RM: Sergiño Dest – N/A

He didn’t get enough minutes to warrant a rating.
