De Jong Gets 8, Ter Stegen With 4 | Barcelona Players Rated In Lacklustre Draw Vs Celta Vigo

Barcelona clashed heads with Celta Vigo at the Abanca-Balaídos earlier today as they hoped to earn a positive result on their travels. The Catalans made a quick start to the contest and managed to make the opening breakthrough in the fifth minute courtesy of a curled effort from Ansu Fati. Sergio Busquets doubled Barca’s advantage just 13 minutes later when he found the back of the net with a low shot. The visitors were not done yet as they added another goal in the 34th minute when Memphis Depay scored with a glancing header. Barca went into the half-time interval 3-0 up on the scoreline.

The Catalans giants made life difficult for themselves in the second half after conceding their first goal just seven minutes into the second half when Iago Aapas pulled a goal back for Celta Vigo. Nolito made things really interesting as he scored in the 74th minute before Iago Aapas scored a dramatic injury-time equaliser for the home team. The match ended with both teams sharing the points after playing out an entertaining 3-3 draw in La Liga.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the contest against Celta Vigo.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 4/10

The German keeper could have done better to prevent Aspas’ goal. He will be disappointed after conceding three goals in the second half.

RB: Oscar Mingueza – 6.5/10

He made a few crucial interceptions at the back and cleared the danger when needed. However, his efforts were not enough for Barca to win this game.

CB: Eric Garcia – 7/10

Garcia kept a solid defensive shape inside his half and pulled off a few important clearances in the first half. He got replaced at half-time.

CB: Clement Lenglet – 6.5/10

The Frenchman didn’t take too many chances when putting his foot through the ball and earned the ball back a couple of times for his team. However, he won’t be pleased after shipping in three goals in the second half.
