Barcelona welcomed Levante at the Nou Camp earlier this afternoon as they looked to secure a victory in front of their home fans. The Catalans made an electric start to the game as they took the lead in the sixth minute courtesy of Memphis Depay’s penalty. Luuk de Jong doubled Barca’s advantage just eight minutes later with a composed finish. The home team defended their lead well and went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.

Ronald Koeman’s men were solid in the second half as they protected their two-goal advantage with conviction. Ansu Fati came off the bench to add another goal in injury-time as Barca cruised to a 3-0 win at home.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the clash against Levante.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 6.5/10

The Catalan keeper made a couple of solid saves and managed to earn an easy clean sheet at the Nou Camp.

RB: Oscar Mingueza – 8/10

He performed his defensive duties well and created a few inviting chances for his teammates to score.

CB: Gerard Pique – 7/10

Pique won some crucial 50-50 aerial duels and was tidy with his passing. He will be happy with the clean sheet today.

CB: Eric Garcia – 7/10

The Spaniard cleared the danger when needed and was a powerful presence in the air.

LB: Sergiño Dest – 9/10

Dest was exceptional at both ends of the field and has got an assist to show for his efforts. He kept a good shape at the back and made some crunching tackles to hamper the opposition’s flow. He completed plenty of promising dribbles with the ball and managed to orchestrate a few meaningful openings for his teammates in the final third.

CM: Nicolás González Iglesias – 7.5/10

The youngster didn’t let the occasion get to him and produced a great performance in midfield. He was even quite lively in the final third.

CM: Sergio Busquets – 7/10

He used his experience well to get the best out of his teammates at the centre of the park. Busquets also made two good runs with the ball going forward.

CM: Gavi – 7/10

He pulled off some promising runs with the ball but lacked the cutting edge in front of the opponent’s goal.

RW: Philippe Coutinho – 6.5/10

The Brazilian playmaker had a couple of shots but never looked like he had a goal in him.

ST: Luuk de Jong – 7.5/10

The Dutch striker produced a composed finish to double his side’s advantage in the 14th minute. He even created a couple of key opportunities for his teammates to score.

LW: Memphis Depay – 9/10

Depay kept his calm to convert his penalty which gave Barca the all-important lead. He was a constant menace throughout the game and was arguably Barca’s best player on the field today.

Substitutes:

LW: Riqui Puig –  6/10

He added some energy to Barca’s attack.

LW: Ansu Fati – 7.5/10

Fati came off the bench to score a late goal.

CB: Ronald Araujo – 6/10

He came on to see out the win.

RW: Yusuf Demir – 6/10

Demir struggled to get into the game.

CB: Clement Lenglet – N/A

He hardly had any time to make an impact.
