Having spent close to £108 million in the ongoing transfer window, Manchester United are now looking to offload some of the players in order to balance out the books.

In this article, we take a look at three players The Red Devils should sell this summer.

Paul Pogba

If recent reports from The Mirror are to be believed, the Frenchman turned down a contract renewal that would have seen him earn £50 million per year (£350,000-a-week).

With just one year left on his present contract, Manchester United would surely want to sell him for a hefty fee before he becomes available on a free transfer next summer. Moreover, the sale might fund United’s move for a new defensive midfielder.

Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offer around £45 million for Paul Pogba, but the club wants a fee close to £50 million in order to let go of the 28-year-old World Cup winners’ services.

Daniel James

It would be an understatement to say that the Welshman has failed to live up to the expectations at Old Trafford following his move from Swansea City in 2019.

The 23-year-old winger made just 11 starts in the Premier League last term, and now, with Jadon Sancho’s arrival from Borussia Dortmund, his opportunities will be further limited next season. Given the circumstances, a move away from Old Trafford seems to be the best move for his career.

Brighton are interested in the player as Graham Potter hopes to secure his signature in the ongoing transfer window.

Andreas Pereira

Pereira’s sensational 25-yard-volley vs Brentford has put him on Fenerbahce’s radar – with the Turkish club enquiring about his price tag. There’s also an unnamed Premier League side in the race for his signature.

Reports suggest that Manchester United have set a £22 million asking price for the Brazil international; however, they might let him go for a bit less.

Pereira, who spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan at Lazio, wants regular first-team football, but given the presence of some world-class midfielders at United, the task seems next to impossible.
