Denmark will lock horns with Czech Republic at the Baku Olympic Stadium on Saturday evening, hoping to pick up a positive result and secure a place in the semi-finals of the Euro 2020 tournament. The Danes will be coming into the match on the back of an emphatic 4-0 win against Wales, whereas Jaroslav Silhavy’s men recorded a 2-0 victory over Netherlands in the Round of 16.
Kasper Hjulmand will probably opt for the 3-4-3 formation with a couple of tweaks from the last game as Daniel Wass looks likely to make his way back into the starting eleven.
3-4-3 Denmark Predicted Lineup Vs Czech Republic
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel is expected to start in goal for the upcoming encounter. The Leicester City shot-stopper would be looking to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Saturday.
Simon Kjaer will continue to form the centre-half partnership with Andreas Christensen and Jannik Vestergaard at the heart of Denmark’s backline.
Midfield
Having netted two goals in his last two matches, Joakim Maehle is a guaranteed starter at the left wing-back position, whereas Daniel Wass will return to feature as the right wing-back. The duo would be expected to stay compact and keep their shape defensively.
Joachim Andersen will have to settle for a place on the bench but could be brought on in the latter stages of the game if needed.
Thomas Delaney is expected to start in the central midfield position, whereas Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will slot in as the defensive midfielder. The duo would be determined to put up a strong performance and dominate the midfield proceedings against Czech Republic on Saturday.
Attack
Mikkel Damsgaard and Martin Braithwaite will take up the wide positions, playing on the left and right-wing respectively.
Kasper Dolberg is expected to lead the line for his side against Czech Republic. The 23-year-old striker bagged a brace against Wales in the Round of 16, and he’ll hope to repeat the same when he faces off against the Czech defence that has conceded just two goals in their last four matches.
