In a recent report, The Sun has claimed that Manchester City are expected to land Fluminense youngster Kayky, who has been dubbed as the ‘next Neymar’ back in his homeland. It has been revealed that Man City could acquire the services of the Brazilian whizkid in a deal worth around £21.5m (via The Sun).
Kayky’s Incredible Rise In Brazilian Football
Kayky has come through the youth ranks of Fluminense after playing a lot of futsal in his youth days which helped him develop skills way beyond his years. The 17-year-old wing wizard has a terrific left-foot and loves to cut in from the right flank to cause a lot of headaches for the opposition defenders.
The Brazilian starlet is a technically gifted footballer who has already represented Brazil twice at the Under-16 level. Kayky could potentially become a generational talent, so maybe a switch to Manchester City to play in their world-class academy could be an ideal step for the youngster as he would get a chance to blossom into a top talent under the watchful eyes of Pep Guardiola.
What Are The Brazilian Wonderkid’s Best Attributes?
Kayky is blessed with excellent pace and ball-control and can make some dangerous runs with the ball out on the wide areas. He has a knack for scoring goals and was previously the top scorer in the Brasileirao Under-17 Championship. The Fluminense prospect is a star in the making as he has a lot of flair in his game that makes him such a joy to watch in the attacking third of the pitch.
The Brazilian sensation can use his strengths well to get past his marker when left isolated in a 1v1 situation down the right flank. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to hone his skills and reach for the stars at the highest level.
Is Kayky A Prospect For The Future?
Considering all the hype surrounding his potential in Brazil, there is no denying that Kayky is a prospect to watch out for in the future and would be a great addition to Man City’s academy this summer. Having some of the best young talents around him at the Etihad Campus will only help the Brazilian wide player improve himself and stake a claim for a place in Guardiola’s starting XI in the years to come.
