Liverpool locked horns with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a positive result in the Premier League. The Reds struggled to get hold of the ball in the first half but looked dangerous on the counter. The Merseyside giants finally managed to score the opening goal via Diogo Jota’s finish from a tight angle just before the half-time interval.
Both teams cancelled each other out in the second half as they struggled to find the cutting edge in the final third. The contest got extended because of Rui Patricio’s unfortunate head injury, but it ended 1-0 in favour of the Premier League champions.
