Manchester United entertained Newcastle United at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they looked to earn all three points at home. The Red Devils made a good start to the game and took the lead at the half-hour mark when Marcus Rashford got his name on the scoresheet. However, Allan Saint-Maximin equalised for the Magpies just six minutes later, which meant that both sides went into the half-time break all level on the scoreline.
Daniel James broke the deadlock in the 57th minute before Bruno Fernandes made the points secure with his 75th-minute penalty. The contest ended with Man United earning a comfortable 3-1 win at the Theatre of Dreams.
