Gundogan Gets 9 | Manchester City Players Rated In Comfortable Win Vs Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester City entertained Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium earlier this evening hoping to stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League table. Pep Guardiola’s men made a bright start to the game as they got themselves ahead in the 23rd minute courtesy of Rodri’s penalty. Man City kept their narrow advantage intact and went into the half-time interval one goal to the good.

The Premier League leaders maintained their dominance in the second half as Ilkay Gundogan scored a quick-fire brace to give the Mancunian giants a comfortable 3-0 victory over Jose Mourinho’s players.

Let’s take a look at how each Man City player fared during the match against Tottenham.

GK: Ederson – 7.5/10

The Brazilian keeper made a few solid saves to keep his clean sheet intact. He even picked up a rare assist in the second half.

RB: Joao Cancelo – 8/10

The Portuguese full-back dealt with everything that came his way in defence and managed to orchestrate a few inviting chances in the Tottenham half.

CB: John Stones – 7/10

Stones did enough work defensively to keep Harry Kane quiet throughout the game. He was also tidy with his ball-distribution out from the back.

CB: Aymeric Laporte – 6.5/10

He dealt with the danger when required and will be happy with the clean sheet this evening.

The German midfield ace kept his excellent goal-scoring run going by netting another brace in the Premier League. He deserves to be named the man of the match.
