Manchester United entertained Red Bull Leipzig at Old Trafford earlier tonight hoping to pick up another win in the UEFA Champions League. The Red Devils made a bright start to the game as they took the lead courtesy of Mason Greenwood’s goal in 21st minute. However, the German side dominated possession, but the home team managed to defend their narrow advantage and went into the half-time interval one goal to the good.
The visitors kept pushing in search of an equaliser after the break. However, Marcus Rashford came off the bench to score two quick-fire goals which killed the contest. Anthony Martial added another one via the penalty spot in the 87th minute before Rashford completed his hattrick in injury-time as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men secured a dominant 5-0 victory at the Theatre of Dreams.
