Real Madrid will lock horns with Levante at the Estadi Ciutat de València on Sunday looking to pick up maximum points from this contest on the road. The Madrid giants have picked up back to back wins against Real Betis and Real Valladolid respectively, so they have a lot of momentum going into this clash in Valencia.

Zinedine Zidane could set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and might name both Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio in his starting XI.

Defence

Thibaut Courtois will operate in between the sticks for Los Blancos after securing a clean sheet versus Levante in midweek. Sergio Ramos will resume his centre-back partnership with Raphael Varane as they look to maintain a solid shape and earn another clean sheet in La Liga.

Álvaro Odriozola is expected to get the nod at right-back while Ferland Mendy focusses on producing another impressive display as the left-back. Both of them will hope to make some marauding runs out on the flanks without giving too much away defensively. Dani Carvajal picked a knee injury recently which will keep him out of this game this weekend.

Midfield

Zidane might choose to go with a midfield three of Federico Valverde, Casemiro and Luka Modric for this league encounter versus Paco Lopez’s men. Valverde got his name on the scoresheet against Real Betis last weekend, so he will probably be Madrid’s most adventurous midfielder when they lace up to face Levante at the Estadi Ciutat de València on Sunday.

Toni Kroos is a significant doubt for this game, but Lucas Vazquez should be available for selection on the bench.

Attack

Vinicius Junior netted the only goal of the game versus Real Valladolid, so he should get a start on the left flank. Marco Asensio will look to catch the eye on the other side as the right-sided wide player. Karim Benzema will once again spearhead Zidane’s attack down the middle.

Luka Jovic might have to settle for a spot on the bench as he awaits his chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required. However, Eden Hazard and Mariano Diaz remain sidelined with injuries.
