Jose Mourinho will be returning to Old Trafford as Tottenham Hotspur lock horns with Manchester United on Sunday. It is going to be the most anticipated fixture in Gameweek 4, especially given the well-balanced nature of the sides. Spurs, however, have had a hectic run of fixtures and could face one or two issues with fatigue heading into this game.

Predicted Tottenham Hotspur Lineup Vs Manchester United

Mourinho, as promised, rested Eric Dier for the Thursday fixture against Maccabi Haifa and the Englishman, who was the man of the match in the midweek cup game against Chelsea, should return to the side. He is expected to partner Davinson Sanchez, at the heart of the four-man backline.

Matt Doherty may continue at right-back despite starting against Maccabi Haifa. However, the same cannot be said for Ben Davies, who might have to make way for Sergio Reguilon.

The Spaniard, who signed from Real Madrid this summer, produced an excellent display against Chelsea. His offensive work-rate could be critical for Tottenham Hotspur as they are likely to employ a counter-attacking approach.

One last change in defence should see Joe Hart clearing the way for Hugo Lloris in goal. The Frenchman has had a decent season so far and will be hoping for a clean sheet in this fixture.

In midfield, Mourinho may persist with the duo of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Winks. They may not have the technical quality of someone like Tanguy Ndombele, but they do have the positional sense as well as the work rate to prevent the likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic from taking charge in the middle of the park.

In the number ten role, Giovani Lo Celso is a slight doubt after picking up a knock at half-time against Maccabi Haifa. Dele Alli looks likely to get the nod ahead of the Argentine, although Mourinho also has the option of Ndombele.

In attack, Tottenham Hotspur are missing out on the services of Son Heung-Min, who is unlikely to feature against Manchester United after picking up an injury last month.

It will serve as a significant blow for Mourinho, who might have to settle for Steven Bergwijn at left-wing, with Lucas Moura starting on the opposite flank. The Spurs attack will be spearheaded by none other than Harry Kane, who bagged a hat-trick in the last game.

Gareth Bale, meanwhile, is still injured and is not expected until the end of the international break.
