His role model is the greatest manager of all time - Jose Mourinho.

Premiership giants Rangers got back to winning ways in the league after a comfortable 5-1 victory against Motherwell in the early kick-off. The Ibrox club started the tie in the ascendancy and was soon awarded a penalty because of a handball decision. James Tavernier scored to break the deadlock, and the floodgates seemed to open from that point. Jordan Jones scored a peach of a goal before another handball gave Tavernier his second penalty of the tie. Cédric Itten scored twice in the late stages before an unfortunate George Edmundson own goal gave Motherwell their consolation as well.

Rangers Player Ratings Vs Motherwell

Allan McGregor – 6

The veteran keeper wasn’t called into action on too many occasions, as Rangers dominated proceedings for the entirety of the ninety. Calm and collected with the ball at his feet as well.

James Tavernier – 8

The Rangers skipper led by example down the right flank, as his work-rate and attitude were off the charts. Scored two penalties in comfortable fashion and never looked like slowing down.

Filip Helander – 7

The big centre-half was untroubled in the heart of the defence, as he made multiple key tackles in the defensive third. Held his position well and tracked his runners effectively as well.

Connor Goldson – 7

The defender wasn’t required to do too much work as the Motherwell attackers never found any real openings at the back. Strong when dealing with defensive situations and cleared the ball well too.

Calvin Bassey – 7

The speedster linked up very efficiently with the attackers down that flank and delivered a couple of neat balls into the box as well. Never looked afraid to take on his man while getting forward.

Glen Kamara – 7

The midfielder held his position pretty effectively and tried to link up the play in a decent manner. Dropped into some great defensive positions and passed the ball around well.

Steven Davis – 7

The veteran started the game as the Ibrox club’s deepest-lying midfielder. Controlled the tempo of the game with his passing and movement, and played some decent forward balls as well.

Scott Arfield – 7.5

The dangerous speedster tried to make his presence felt in the attack, and played a delectable through ball to release Jordan Jones in the first half. Didn’t make any unnecessary mistakes either.

Jordan Jones – 7

The speedster repaid Steven Gerrard’s trust in him by putting up a strong performance down the flank. Took his chance in supreme style to double the Gers’ advantage early on.

Alfredo Morelos – 7

The Colombian, despite not getting on the scoresheet tonight, held the ball up efficiently. Tried to bring the other players into the game with his movement and general awareness.

Ryan Kent – 6.5

The former Liverpool man wasn’t able to have his usual influence in the final third. Linked up well with the likes of Morelos and Bassey, but couldn’t produce the quality that he is known for.
