Everton will entertain Bournemouth at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon hoping to end the season with a win at home. The Toffees managed to grind out a 1-0 win over Sheffield United in their last outing which would give them a lot of confidence heading into this clash at Merseyside.

Carlo Ancelotti will stick with his favoured 4-4-2 formation and might make one change to his team for this weekend’s game versus the Cherries.

Defence

Jordan Pickford will lineup in goal for the Toffees after securing a well-deserved clean sheet versus the Blades earlier this week. Michael Keane will partner Jarrad Branthwaite at the heart of the Everton backline as they try to keep Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson and Dominic Solanke quiet on Sunday.

Seamus Coleman will operate as the right-back while Lucas Digne looks to produce another productive performance at left-back. Ancelotti would want both his full-backs to get involved in the final third so that they can provide adequate service for the front players.

Both Leighton Baines and Djibril Sidibé will have to be content with a place on the bench.

Midfield

Andre Gomes and Tom Davies will anchor the home side’s midfield and focus on getting a foothold in the game at the centre of the park. Gylfi Sigurdsson might be used as a makeshift wide player on the left while Theo Walcott hopes to use his pace to cause a few problems for the Cherries down the right flank.

All four Everton midfielders will be responsible for cooking up some decent goal-scoring opportunities for their teammates up top. Anthony Gordon, Alex Iwobi and Bernard will all have to settle for a spot on the bench but might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.

Attack

Richarlison will once again be Ancelotti’s best hope for a goal as he operates alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top. The dynamic duo has looked a bit tired in recent weeks, but they should be raring to give their all in the last match of this Premier League campaign.

Moise Kean is a slight doubt for this contest and will be in a race against time to be fit this weekend.
