Arsenal extended their winning streak to four games in all competitions, securing a hard-fought 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Goals from Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette were enough to help them seal all three points as the Gunners continue their push for a Europa League place.

Arsenal Player Ratings Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Emiliano Martinez 8/10

Emiliano Martinez made an important decision to reduce the angle to prevent Adama Traore from scoring was one of the key moments of the game. The Argentine also looked very confident throughout the match with his ball-handling and overall distribution.

Shkodran Mustafi 8/10

A solid defensive display from Shkodran Mustafi, who tried his best in keeping things tidy at the back. Although the German wasn’t neat by any stretch of the imagination, he soldiered on till the very last, helping Arsenal preserve a clean sheet.

David Luiz 8/10

David Luiz has looked like a different player since signing a new contract extension at Arsenal. This evening, he looked confident on the ball and made some crucial clearances, keeping Raul Jimenez at bay.

Sead Kolasinac 7/10

Sead Kolasinac made some questionable decisions this evening, and he looks like a misfit in the back three. However, the Bosnian is improving, and it was evident in his overall performance against Wolves.

Cedric 6/10

Not the best of games for Cedric, who struggled to impress in his starting debut for Arsenal. The Portuguese international failed to team up with Saka on the right flank. He did defend decently, but there was still one or two lapses in concentration.

Granit Xhaka 8/10

An efficient performance from Granit Xhaka. Despite coming up against the likes of Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho, the Swiss international kept his composure and provided solidity to the Arsenal midfield. He has indeed become a reliable outlet in the Arsenal midfield.

Dani Ceballos 8.5/10

Dani Ceballos’ late redemption at Arsenal continues as the Spaniard put together yet another impressive display against Wolves. A striking feature in his performance this evening was his bravery and willingness to take on the opposition even in physical duels. It was certainly refreshing to see.

Kieran Tierney 7.5/10

Kieran Tierney did not exactly make an impact on the left-flank. But, he kept on offering support from the wider positions and notably provided the cross that led to the opener. He was hooked off in the second half, which was understandable given the fact that he had started the last three games for Arsenal.

Bukayo Saka 6.5/10

Scored a wonderful goal, which happened to be his first in the Premier League. However, it wasn’t the best of performances from the Englishman. He clearly struggled to integrate to life on the right flank and had issues linking up with Cedric.

Eddie Nketiah 7/10

Eddie Nketiah didn’t have much service throughout the game. But the youngster still showed incredible zest to make something happen. His pace, in particular, caused real problems for the Wolves backline.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 7/10

It wasn’t perhaps the best of games for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, largely due to lack of service and tight marking from Wolves. However, the Gabonese did look dangerous during the final phase of the game as Arsenal pushed forward.

SUBSTITUTES

Ainsley Maitland-Niles 7/10

Ainsley Maitland-Niles replaced Tierney just before the hour mark and provided more energy and determination on the left flank. Although he got completely outmuscled by Adama Traore, at times, he still managed to keep things tidy at the back.

Hector Bellerin 6.5/10

Replaced Cedric in the 76th minute and it was a crucial decision by Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard managed to provide more spark in the right wing-back slot.

Joe Willock 7.5/10

Joe Willock’s introduction in the 76th minute made a massive impact on the proceedings as the midfielder, with his energy and determination, unsettled the Wolves backline. In fact, it was his cross that found Lacazette for the second goal.

Alexandre Lacazette 7.5

Prior to the game, we had suggested the introduction of Lacazette right from the beginning. Although that wasn’t the case, the Frenchman did make a major impact when he came on in the 83rd minute, notably scoring the second goal that effectively killed the game.

Lucas Torreira N/A

Finally returned to the pitch after replacing Ceballos in the 83rd minute.
