West Ham United will play hosts to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the London Stadium hoping to secure a positive result at home on Saturday evening. The Hammers currently find themselves just one point ahead of the relegation zone, so they will be desperate to earn a victory this weekend. However, it won’t be an easy task as the West Midlands will also be well-motivated to claim the three points as they are fighting for a top-four spot heading into the final few weeks of this season.
David Moyes will opt for a 4-4-2 formation and might trust Mark Noble to start ahead of Tomáš Souček when Nuno Espirito Santo’s men come to town later this weekend.
4-4-2 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Wolves
Łukasz Fabiański will operate in goal for the Hammers as he focusses on keeping things tight versus Wolves on Saturday. Issa Diop and Angelo Ogbonna will look to protect the Polish goalkeeper by putting in a dominant display at the heart of the West Ham backline. However, both centre-backs can expect to have their hands full when going up against Raul Jimenez, who has been on fire for the West Midlands giants so far this season.
Ryan Fredericks might get the nod to start as the right-back ahead of Paolo Zabaleta while Aaron Cresswell lines up on the other side as the left-back. Both West Ham full-backs will have to be on high alert at all times to cope with the pace and trickery of Diogo Jota and Adama Traore this weekend.
Declan Rice and Mark Noble will be nailed-on starters in midfield as they try to disrupt the opposition’s rhythm at the centre of the park. The hard-working duo will also have to find a way to provide some decent services to the front players.
Pablo Fornals is expected to get a start down the left flank while Jarrod Bowen gets another chance to impress as the right-winger. There is a lot of competition for places within Moyes’ midfield department, so the likes of Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini, Robert Snodgrass and Tomas Soucek will all have to be satisfied with a place on the bench.
Sebastien Haller will share the goal-scoring workload with Michail Antonio up top. The dynamic duo will have to work hard in running the channels and offering an outlet when their teammates are breaking fast on the transition. They might even have to track back and defend if Wolves manage to boss the game in the middle of the park.
