The Best Female Tennis Players To Put Your Faith On

Must Read

If you’re a tennis fan, then you’re likely to know a little bit about the players and the courts and the tournaments that are all related to it. But how much do you really know about the tennis players? Let’s see if you know which female tennis players can be considered as the best in the world right now, and which ones are likely to draw the attention of sports bettors.

The Best Female Tennis Players To Put Your Faith On

Serena Williams

Was there ever any doubt that Serena Williams would be mentioned in this collection? The younger sister of Venus Williams, Serena has dominated the tennis court to become a twenty-three-time Grand Slam title winner, and she was the highest paid female athlete in 2016 and 2017. While currently ranked as number nine in the world by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), this hasn’t stopped her from being heavily betted on by gamblers.

She won her first singles title as a mother in 2020 in the ASB Classic, defeating Jessica Pegula in the final. Bets on this event were heavily in favour of Williams, including at sites like Bwin. This platform is frequently associated with sports betting, although there is the Bwin Casino available to access there, too. So, if betting on tennis or other sports isn’t specifically your preferred pastime, then perhaps you can visit the casino there and play a few slots or table games instead.

Barty hasn’t only made a name for herself in the tennis sphere, but also in the realm of cricket. Currently ranked as number one in the world by the WTA, she stands as only the second Australian player to be ranked singles number one. Barty has also achieved top 20 status as a doubles player and has won eight singles titles and ten doubles titles so far – and she’s only 23! She started the 2020 season in her hometown at the Brisbane International, and she was a favourite to win that tournament, too. Unfortunately, she picked up a second-round loss to Jennifer Brady.

Simona Halep

This Romanian professional has been building a name for herself for several years and has been ranked as the world number one in singles action twice between 2017 and 2019. She first broke into the world’s top 50 towards the end of 2011 and reached the top 20 by August of 2013 before breaking the top 10 in January of the following year. She won her first six WTA titles in the same calendar year in 2013, making her the first woman to do so since Steffi Graf in 1986. Doubtless, she remains a popular player for sports bettors to back.

Naomi Osaka

Japan’s Naomi Osaka has also been ranked world number one by the WTA, and she exists as the first Asian player to hold that top ranking in singles competition. On the WTA Tour, Osaka has cinched five titles, including two at both the Grand Slam and Premier Mandatory levels. It was only recently that she won her first two Grand Slam singles titles in back-to-back Grand Slam tournaments at the 2018 US Open and the 2019 Australian Open. She’s the first player to achieve this since Jennifer Capriati in 2001. She has a bright future ahead of her still too, only being 22 years of age.
