The Newcastle United takeover has been the talk of the town for some time now. While most people know it is a matter of time before the takeover of Newcastle United is confirmed, we are still waiting on the Premier League to approve the sale. If you want a detailed breakdown of Bin Salman’s £300m takeover of Newcastle United from Mike Ashley, you can read it here.

We noticed that Turki Bin Salman, the younger brother of the Saudi prince Mohammed Bin Salman, followed Newcastle United on Twitter. Obviously, that was a bit of breaking news that told us that the confirmation of the sale of Newcastle United is imminent. Exclusive: Brother of Prince MBS Responds Regarding Newcastle United Takeover

In some time, we actually had a response from the Prince Turki Bin Salman @wa7dpoet on our Twitter status. There, he tamped down the expectations of the Newcastle United fans by stating this, ”Im i saudi poet and im not i source of any news mate.”

At, the time, we had a couple of interactions on Twitter, and it actually took a little time for us to figure out he was really the brother of the Saudi prince Mohammed Bin Salman. His reluctance could be because he does not have an official position in the Saudi Arabia Government, and so he is probably not authorised to give any official news.

It seems Prince Turki Bin Salman is conveying the message that he followed Newcastle United in his own individual capacity and that we should not read too much into his following Newcastle United’s twitter handle. However, it is now up to the Newcastle United fans to decide how close this takeover bid is to completion in reality.
