According to a recent report by Fox Sports Argentina (via The Daily Express), Manchester United chief Ed Woodward has enquired about the possibility of acquiring the services of San Lorenzo centre-forward Adolfo Gaich on a loan deal before the transfer window slams shut later tonight.

However, the same source has also claimed that the Argentine outfit has turned down the offer, but it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils go back in with another bid with just a few hours left in this January transfer window.

Gaich’s Impressive Start To This Campaign

The 20-year-old has made a brilliant start to this campaign after putting in some dazzling displays in the Argentine Superliga so far. He has scored four goals in nine league matches this term after breaking out as a first-team starter back in 2018.

Gaich had represented Argentina at various youth levels and has also earned a senior cap for his nation when he came off the bench to feature against Mexico in an international friendly last year. The Cordoba-born talent is destined to have a very bright future in South American football as long as he can continue improving his game with each season.

What Are The San Lorenzo Sensation’s Best Attributes?

Gaich lacks the pace to trouble the opposition defenders, but he is a lethal finisher in the final third. He excels at holding the ball up to get others involved in and around the opposition penalty area using his remarkable upper body strength. The Argentine starlet can also take up some dangerous positions in the attacking third of the pitch, which makes a constant nuisance for the opposition.

Will Gaich Be A Decent Option For Man United?

Gaich is an exciting, young striker who has the potential to become a world-class player someday. Therefore, he will be an excellent option for the Red Devils in the long-run as Solskjaer looks to build a squad capable of challenging for multiple trophies in the coming years.

Gaich can look at the career pathways of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood as the perfect examples of how he can break into the Man United first-team if he decides to move to Old Trafford in the future. Furthermore, he has all the skillset required to make an immediate impression at the Carrington training ground.
