Everton will travel to Vicarage Road to take on Watford in the Premier League next. The Toffees will look to banish the blues with a win in this encounter after they played out a disastrous draw against Newcastle United in the last league game.
The Merseyside club have seen some improvements in recent times as they have lost just once in their last nine league encounters. Watford have also taken massive strides under Nigel Pearson, but the new manager’s bounce seems to be wearing off as they lost their previous league game to Aston Villa and then they were beaten by Tranmere in the FA Cup. Nevertheless, it could be a tight affair as the Hornets are languishing on the 19th spot and they are likely to fight for their life at this stage of the season.
Team News: Everton’s main man Richarlison is expected to miss out again. Gylfi Sigurdsson and Alex Iwobi are also suffering from injuries. Andre Gomes is back in training, but he is likely to take a few more weeks to be match fit. Jean-Philippe Gbamin is also expected to be unavailable.
4-4-2 Everton Predicted Lineup Vs Watford
Formation (4-4-2)
Defence
Jordan Pickford has come under a lot of criticism this season, and his performance against Newcastle United left a lot to be desired. However, he is expected to continue between the sticks. Former Barcelona ace Yerry Mina is set to feature as the central defender. Mason Holgate is going to be his likely partner. The experienced Seamus Coleman could get a start over Sidibe at right back. The left-back slot is going to be occupied by Lucas Digne.
Midfield
Theo Walcott should start from the right flank again. The English winger has done well in patches, but the Toffees faithful must be expecting for something more from him. Morgan Schneiderlin is expected to keep his place in the middle of the park.
He is likely to be partnered by Fabian Delph. Everton have missed Gomes since his injury, and now that he is back in training, Delph and Schneiderlin will need to be at their best if they want to keep their place in the first eleven. Bernard has often been the game-changer for the Merseyside club this season, and he will play in his usual left-wing role.
Attack
Moise Kean got the monkey off his back as he scored his first goal for Everton. He put in a decent shift as well, and he will start in attack. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in good form in the past few weeks, and he will partner the Italian upfront.
