Celtic will travel to the Superseal Stadium to take on Hamilton Academical in the next round of fixtures in the Scottish Premiership. The Hoops are coming in this game on the back of a comfortable 3-0 win against St. Johnstone which keeps them five points above Rangers who have played a game less.

Neil Lennon will hope to pick up another routine win against strugglers Hamilton who are currently second from the bottom in the league. The Accies suffered a 4-2 loss against Livingston in their last league game. Hamilton though have pushed Celtic close in both their earlier encounters this season and Brian Rice’s men might be able to spring a surprise in front of their home fans.

Team News: Celtic have had a long list of injury issues. Hatem Abd Elhamed, Mohamed Elyounoussi and Jeremie Frimpong are expected to miss out. Scott Bain continues to be out with a hand injury. Fullback Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo is also doubtful. Jozo Simunovic is also struggling after he was substituted early against St. Johnstone.

Formation (4-2-3-1)

Lennon has gone with 3-5-2 in some of the games, but with Ryan Christie now available for selection, the Hoops might go back to their usual 4-2-3-1.

Fraser Forster is a no brainer to start in goal for the Bhoys. Kristoffer Ajer is expected to continue at centre back. Summer signing Christopher Jullien will likely partner him in defence. Moritz Bauer could get another start at right-back with Frimpong out. Jonny Hayes might return to the lineup at left-back.

Scott Brown will be in his usual defensive midfield position. He is likely to be partnered by the consistent Callum McGregor. Ryan Christie could get the chance to start after serving out his suspension. He could feature on the left flank. Tom Rogic might get the nod over Olivier Ntcham to start in the attacking midfielder’s role. James Forrest will likely occupy the right-wing spot in this game.

Patryk Klimala made his debut in the last tie and given the opposition; there could be some calls of handing the new signing a start. However, we believe that he is likely to be on the bench again. Odsonne Edouard is a crucial player for the Hoops in this tight title race, and he could be given a breather in this tie after he played more than 80 minutes in the previous game. Leigh Griffiths could be handed a chance to lead the line.
