Celtic will kickstart their campaign after the international break against Livingston this weekend. There is little room for error at the top of the table as the Hoops lead Rangers only on goal difference at the moment. Livingston were the one to hand Celtic their only defeat of the season so far as they won in the Almondvale Stadium by 2-0 in October.
The Hoops will go in as the clear favourites at home, but Livingston have the quality to be stubborn and robust in defence. Lennon will hope that his boys can start firing on all cylinders right after the international break. Livingston are winless in their last five games, losing three of those and drawing two.
Team News: Jozo Simunovic is a long term absentee, and he will miss out. Hatem Abd Elhamed is also going to be unavailable after he sustained an injury on a memorable night in Rome. Leigh Griffiths is back in training, and he could make the bench for now. Michael Johnston is still doubtful, but his return shouldn’t be too far off.
Scott Bain is also going to be unavailable. Striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo will be missing out due to injury. Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo is also a doubt.
Celtic Predicted Lineup Vs Livingston
Formation (4-2-3-1)
Defence
Fraser Forster should keep his place in goal once again. Christopher Jullien has done well after arriving in the summer, and he should start in defence. He is likely to be partnered by Kristoffer Ajer in the centre back role. Young Jeremie Frimpong is expected to start at right-back. Jonny Hayes could continue at left-back after his impressive performance against Motherwell before the international break.
Midfield
Scott Brown is still going strong in the middle, and he will play in his typical defensive midfield role. Callum McGregor is going to partner him in central areas. Ryan Christie was given marching orders the last time around against Livingston, and he will be keen to perform well this time against the same opponents. The Scotsman should start as the attacking midfielder. Mohamed Elyounoussi has caught the eye so far as he has grabbed crucial assists and goals. He should continue on the left flank. James Forrest is a no brainer to start on the right-wing for the Bhoys.
Attack
Lennon will be glad to know that Leigh Griffiths is closing in on a return. However, Odsonne Edouard will undoubtedly lead the line for Celtic again.
