According to a recent report by Mundo Deportivo (translated by the Daily Mail), Barcelona are interested in securing the signature of RB Salzburg starlet Karim Adeyemi who is currently playing on loan at FC Liefering in the Austrian Bundesliga 2. The same source has also claimed that the Catalan giants will have to cough up £7m if they want to acquire the services of the German forward.

Adeyemi’s Slow Yet Steady Rise To The Top

The Munich-born talent joined Bayern Munich at an early age before going on to play for the youth teams of SpVgg Unterhaching. Salzburg decided to give him a shot last summer, but he is yet to make an appearance for the Austrian giants at the senior level.

However, the 17-year-old has been in sensational form while playing for FC Leifering on loan this season. The German rising star has scored five goals and created four assists in nine matches in the second division of Austrian football. He has also registered two goals in two appearances in the UEFA Youth League this term.

Adeyemi has represented Germany at both the Under-16 and Under-17 levels thus far. The 17-year-old could play an integral role for his nation in the years to come if he can continue improving his overall game with each year.

What Are The German Wonderkid’s Greatest Strengths?

Adeyemi can dribble with the ball at high speed without losing possession. He also has the composure to finish off goal-scoring chances in the final third. The German youngster has an excellent turn of pace and can beat his marker with ease using his speed and trickery up top.

However, the Bayern youth product is still quite a raw talent and would need time to settle into Barca’s brand of football at the Nou Camp.

Is Adeyemi A Star In The Making?

There is no denying the fact that Adeyemi has all the makings to be a future star for the Catalans. He is an exceptional young talent who is a prospect to look out for in the coming years. Adeyemi’s prolific nature in front of goal, as well as his creativity on the ball, makes him a perfect fit for Barca. The German whizkid will thrive at the La Masia if given a chance to prove his worth in Spain.
