Wolves will entertain Arsenal at the Molineaux Stadium on Wednesday night after being held at home to a scoreless draw against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend. The visitors also struggled in their previous game as they fell to a 3-2 home defeat against Crystal Palace.
Hence, both teams will look to bounce back with a positive result which could make this contest an entertaining one. Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to opt for a 3-5-2 formation with Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez set to lead the line in the final third.
3-5-2 Wolves Predicted Lineup To Face Arsenal
Rui Patricio will start in between the sticks for the home side while John Ruddy has to settle for a place on the Wolves bench. The Portuguese international kept a clean sheet against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend which should give him a lot of confidence heading into the match versus the Gunners.
Nuno Espirito Santo might opt for a back three of Ryan Bennett, Conor Coady and Willy Boly as the defensive trio aim to keep things stable at the back against Arsenal on Wednesday night.
Romain Saiss has to be content with a place on Nuno Santo’s bench but could play a part during the latter stages of this game if needed.
Wolves might opt to line up with the midfield three of Leander Dendoncker, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves as they look to establish the West Midlands outfit’s dominance at the middle of the pitch. Matt Doherty will continue to feature as the right wing-back while Jonny Otto lines up on the other side down the left flank.
It will be up to the Wolves midfielders to stop the Gunners from getting a stranglehold in the game.
The dynamic attacking pair of Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez will lead the line for the home side up front. The Wolves duo struggled to find the back of the net against the Seagulls last weekend so both Jota and Jimenez will be desperate to score in midweek.
Adama Traore could be available on the Wolves bench and might come on during the encounter if needed.
