West Ham United will take on Crystal Palace at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon looking to continue their two-match winning run in the Premier League. The Hammers have scored six goals in their past two league matches which would give them a lot of confidence and momentum going into this weekend’s clash against the Eagles.
Manuel Pellegrini will opt for a 4-4-2 formation and might name both Fabian Balbuena and Lucas Perez in his first-team. However, the Chilean manager will be without the services of Marko Arnautovic who suffered a hamstring injury against Cardiff City in midweek.
4-4-2 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Crystal Palace
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will start as the West Ham keeper this weekend following his heroics in midweek when he saved a penalty to help his team claim all three points against Cardiff City. The Polish shot-stopper will be shielded by the centre-back duo of Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop while Angelo Ogbonna starts on the Hammers bench.
Pablo Zabaleta has enjoyed a brilliant run of form under Pellegrini this season so he should keep his place at right-back. Arthur Masuaku will be unleashed on the other side as he would look to join in on the attack down the left flank.
Midfield
The Hammers midfield might be comprised of Mark Noble and Declan Rice as they look to dictate play in the middle of the pitch. Felipe Anderson drew a blank against the Bluebirds, but he should be licking his lips at the prospect of finding the back of the net against the Eagles this weekend.
Robert Snodgrass has enjoyed an excellent run of form of late so we can expect him to make a decisive contribution at the London Stadium on Saturday. Jack Wilshere is a significant doubt for this clash, but he should recover in time to feature on Pellegrini’s bench.
Attack
Marko Arnautovic is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, so the dynamic duo of Lucas Perez and Javier Hernandez could lead the line for the Hammers up top. Both strikers have been amongst the goals in recent times so they will be confident about registering their names on the scoresheet this weekend.
