Chelsea would take on Burnley at the Turf Moor on Sunday hoping to return to winning ways in the Premier League. The Pensioners were held to a highly entertaining 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United last weekend which has seen them fall behind Liverpool in the league standings.

This game against the Clarets could serve as the perfect opportunity for them to lay down a marker to the rest of the league. Maurizio Sarri has managed to get the best out of his squad so far, and it is evident by his team’s performances in recent weeks.

The Chelsea boss might opt for a 4-3-3 formation and name Olivier Giroud in his starting lineup to spearhead the West Londoners attack.

4-3-3 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face Burnley

Defence

Kepa Arrizabalaga should start in goal for the Pensioners this weekend even though he has failed to keep a clean sheet in each of his last two matches in all competitions. The centre-back pairing of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger is expected to resume their roles at the heart of the Chelsea defence.

Cesar Azpilicueta will take his position at right-back while Marcos Alonso will join in on the attack down the left flank. The Pensioners’ defence will come up against an unpredictable Burnley attack, so they need to be on their toes and not get complacent to keep a shut-out on the day.

Midfield

The Chelsea midfield trio of Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho and N’Golo Kante will line up at the centre of the park. They have all developed a keen understanding with each other and have been in a rich vein of form of late.

Ross Barkley is expected to start on the Chelsea bench following his last-minute heroics against Manchester United in the previous gameweek.

Attack

Eden Hazard is a significant doubt for this clash but is expected to start if he can pass a late fitness test. Willian will feature on the right flank while Olivier Giroud leads the lines for the Blues up top.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek might be available on the bench after scoring a hattrick versus BATE Borisov on Thursday night. Sarri could opt to give him some game time at the Turf Moor if required.
