Leeds United have struggled in this transfer period so far and needs to make some smart additions in the coming weeks if they are to have a strong enough squad capable of challenging for a top 6 place in the upcoming campaign. The Peacocks had an ordinary season last term when they only managed to grind out a 13th placed finish in the second tier of English football. However, the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa as the new manager has brought a lot of optimism to the West Yorkshire club.
It was expected that Bielsa will be an attractive pull for other quality players to join the Elland Road outfit this summer but the Argentine coach has failed to make any marquee signings so far. The Whites have only managed to recruit Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker from Chelsea on loan but with only a few weeks left until the transfer window slams shut, the club is in a race against time to bring in some more talents before the start of the new season.
The Leeds boss should definitely consider arranging a move to bring Bersant Celina to Elland Road this summer amidst speculation linking him with a move to the Skybet Championship during this summer transfer period. The Cityzens boss Pep Guardiola has previously expressed his admiration for Bielsa and dubbed him as ‘the best coach in the world’. So the Argentine coach can look to use his relationship with Guardiola to bring in a few City youngsters on a loan deal this summer.
Swansea City has been recently linked with a move for Bersant Celina and the Peacocks should definitely rival them for the City youngster as he has the potential to be a massive hit under Bielsa at Elland Road. He is exactly the type of midfielder who can flourish under the Leeds coach if given the opportunity to lace up for the West Yorkshire giants next season.
It is believed that a permanent move of £4m could be enough to lure him to the English Championship. The addition of Celina will undoubtedly bolster Bielsa’s attacking options ahead of the new season. The Whites currently has the likes of Hadi Sacko, Ezgjan Alioski, Tyler Roberts, Caleb Ekuban, Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe competing for a place in their starting XI.
