West Ham United have reportedly agreed to a £26m transfer fee for Lazio winger, Felipe Anderson in a meeting between both the club’s representatives on Wednesday. The Serie A outfit has also included a 20% sell on clause, giving them part of the economic rights for the player if he is sold off elsewhere in the future.

An astonishing bit of news for the West Ham faithful as the club also came to an agreement with Toulouse yesterday for a £22m switch of French defender, Issa Diop from Toulouse FC. One can almost sense the touch of a Premier League winning manager marking his territory at East London.
David Sullivan and the rest of the Hammers ownership seems to have also been swayed by the fan protests from the previous campaign. The uprise in the London Stadium in March has been heard by the club’s board as they are making all the right moves for a promising 2018/19 campaign.
Anderson is one of the most prolific Brazilian talents in the Serie A ever and has been a key figure for the Whites and Sky Blues ever since his arrival to the Stadio Olimpico in June 2013. He is a product of the Santos youth academy, where he graduated to make 68 senior team appearances and net the ball on 7 occasions.
The 25-year-old’s feet are packed with a wide range of skills, making him one of the most lethal wide men in the European top-flight. This past season has been troublesome for the Brazilian due to recurring injuries and a reported bust-up with the club’s head coach, Simone Inzaghi.
Anderson scored 8 times and furthered 10 assists in 32 appearances for the Eagles last season and helped them to the 5th spot of the Serie A. The Brazilian still has 2 more seasons left in his current contract, with 177 total games registered to his name for Lazio.
He has been capped just once for the Brazil national team while 17 times for the youth sides. Anderson is versatile with his positioning but is best suited to the flanks. He can very efficiently exploit the space from the wide areas to either supply balls into the box or to attack the opposition goal on his own.

West Ham are in dire need of wingers with just Michael Antonio and Sead Haksabanovic registered into the side are out-and-out wingers. Anderson will be able to give Pellegrini’s side a different offensive outlet and is definitely a major upgrade to some of the club’s existent players.
