Mauricio Pochettino is expected to be a busy man this summer as he looks to add to an already impressive squad at Tottenham Hotspur. He is yet to win a trophy with the club and will want to sign stars that can take them in the right direction. They may also lose a few players, and look to sell a few and one such player who might quit the club this summer is Mousa Dembele.
The Belgian international has been a mainstay for Spurs for over two years now and is one of the most adaptive and technically gifted midfielders in the Premier League. But he has just a year left on his current contract and has decided not to extend his deal. Spurs will want to sell him this summer, to avoid losing him on a free next summer. And they have now slapped a price tag of £30m for his services, pricing out a few teams from around Europe. But where he continue playing? Here are three English teams who should look to sign Dembele:
Everton:
The Toffees have been outsiders in the top six for quite a while now and need established and experienced stars to help them take the next step. Marko Silva, the new manager at Goodison Park, will bring in a different system to the club and will surely spend on a midfielder or two this summer. And Dembele could be a superb fit. Lack of European football might be a deterrent but he will turn into the first choice at the club and could help carry them to Europe next season. The price tag should not be a problem for the wealthy Everton owners making Dembele a decent signing for the club.
Wolverhampton Wanderers:
The newly promoted outfit Wolves have decent midfield options in their squad. Ruben Neves was exceptional last season while Romain Saiss and Alfred N’Diaye were both able partners to the Portuguese star. But in the top flight, they not only need established players to help them compete with the best but will also need more squad depth, to compete in three different competitions. This is where a move for Dembele makes sense. Wolves also have no financial restraints and should look to sign the Belgian to add quality to their squad.

Chelsea:
Though not a popular opinion at the moment, Dembele could be a decent fit at Stamford Bridge. Antonio Conte used Cesc Fabregas as a creative midfielder last season but the Spaniard has not been consistent enough and Chelsea need an upgrade on him this summer. Dembele, with all his previous experience in England, could take that place and alongside N’Golo Kante, could be a genuine match winner for the Blues.
