AC Milan striker Andre Silva is reportedly on the radar of Huddersfield Town. The Portuguese forward has been rated at £33million and will prove to be an audacious signing for the Terriers should they get it done.
Silva was considered as one of the hot properties in Europe two years back during the 2016 edition of the Euro Cup but the player has failed to shine since. He joined the bandwagon as he became one of the million players to join AC Milan last season under their new owners.
However, his move has not quite gone according to the plan and the 22-year-old has flattered to deceive at San Siro. He has scored only 10 goals in 40 games for the Italians out of which only two has come in top-flight competitions.
The Milan team themselves have had a tough time with so many new players coming in together. As is often the case with any team buying too much, the new bunch of players have not been able to bond in together and the team lacks chemistry and cohesion.
Despite having star players like Leonardo Bonucci, they have struggled throughout the season and are in no way near to their former position of glory. The team’s struggles have meant that Andre Silva has not been singled out but the player does need to move on to a new team or get a new situation at Milan if he wants to reinvent his career.
It seems that the player may be ready to move now with the Terriers interested in him. Huddersfield gained promotion to the Premier League last season only and did just enough to survive. They were far from comfortable and will need signings this summer if they wish to stay in the league.
The Huddersfield team under David Wagner did produce an entertaining brand of football in the early days but a thin squad and inconsistency on the players’ parts saw them struggle and rapidly drop to the bottom half. They managed to hold their own, however, and did the bare minimum to enjoy another season at the top.

They will definitely need new players, particularly forwards and wingers as they must increase their attacking threat. A young player like Andre Silva will definitely add more threat to the lineup and he could find a new start to his career in a team where he will be guaranteed a starting berth.
