Tottenham Hotspur has come up leaps and bounds in the last few years and are now being considered as a heavyweight of English football. For that credit must go to Mauricio Pochettino as he has brought a new sense of belief among the Spurs faithful. However, they are not yet able to cross the final hurdle and bring some much-needed silverware to the club.
Spurs had a great chance of reaching the final of The FA Cup as they took the lead against Manchester United. However, the Red Devils turned the game and went on to secure a place at Wembley where they will take on Chelsea. Nevertheless, one cannot doubt the work which the Argentine mastermind has done at the club.
To take the next step towards winning trophies, the London club is willing to spend huge in the transfer market. They are being linked with the highly-rated Lazio striker Ciro Immobile. Spurs will be offloading few players in the summer transfer window and that can give them the funds to swoop for the Italian forward. He has been more than prolific this term for Lazio as he has scored 41 goals in all competitions and has provided 11 assists. A player like that and in such a good form will certainly not come in cheap and Spurs might have to break the bank to get him.
Immobile can be considered as one of the most productive forwards as he hardly misses when he is through on goal. He is adept at playing in various positions upfront but traditionally plays as a striker. He is a pacey runner and is quite mobile on the pitch in addition to a terrific work rate. He can exploit even a little bit of space and can finish with both his feet. Even when he is not in possession he presses the opponent and all these qualities make him one of the most sought-after strikers in the market.
Spurs currently have one of the best strikers in the world at their disposal and going in for another high-quality striker is slightly unusual for them. However, Immobile can be partnered up with Kane as he can play the role of the second striker to perfection.

It will be interesting to see whether Tottenham go after immobile because he isn’t going to come in cheap and is already 28. He has never played in the Premier League and might take time to get used to it. However, he has all the potential to form a formidable partnership with Kane and that could be devastating for any defence across Europe.
