Brendan Rodgers is indeed one of the esteemed managers in Europe who is now growing in confidence since taking charge of the Scottish giants Celtic FC last season who are currently on the verge of historic back-to-back domestic treble triumphs under the Northern Irishman. He is linked to several top outfits who are looking for a new managerial appointment but Rodgers has reiterated his desire to stay at Parkhead and continue his supremacy in Scottish football.

The former Liverpool and Swansea City gaffer has promoted several youngsters and transformed them into Europe’s hot prospects during his managerial realm. The likes of Kristoffer Ajer, Moussa Dembele, and Kieran Tierney are now being monitored by the big guns of Europe and these Celtic youngsters are enjoying their football under Rodgers’ sincere guidance.

Yet, not everyone is happy with the gaffer’s handling of the prodigies, especially Chelsea, who have reportedly expressed their displeasure due to his mishandling of young loanee Charly Musonda who completed an 18-month loan deal back in January.  The lack of opportunities made the young Belgian attacker frustrated at Stamford Bridge, therefore, he agreed to join the Glasgow supergiants in order to attain regular playing time.

Things, however, has gone completely the other way so far as the 21-year-old has only started twice in the Scottish Premiership, which might lead to an early recall by his parent club from a thwarting spell at the end of the ongoing campaign.

The Blues are fuming over Rodgers’ stance as he has previous records of wasting Chelsea talents on the bench – Josh McEachran while managing Swansea City and Victor Moses during his Liverpool days. The Celtic boss started his coaching career in the Blues youth ranks but the relationship has soured off late.

Musonda is a promising talent but the gaffer has a set team who are performing splendidly week in week out. James Forrest has been sensational down the right flank and it’s unfair to replace him at this moment.

Patrick Roberts, the youngster on loan from Manchester City, flourished under Rodgers during his initial 18-month loan spell but has not featured much this term mostly due to injury reasons. He might be on his way to return to his parent club this summer but Musonda must stay patient and wait for a few more months before drawing a conclusion to his Celtic future.

The Hoops are expecting multiple departures in summer, which will allow the Belgian to break into the first-team lineup on regular basis, thanks to his versatility and ability to slot on the flanks as well as in an attacking midfield role. He needs to impress the gaffer during pre-season and Chelsea, too, must wait patiently for at least a few more months before cutting his stay short in Scotland.
