Jake Livermore, the Baggies midfielder is expected to leave the club at the end of the season and Aston Villa looks to be in line to get their man. Aston Villa are currently fourth in the championship and are expected to qualify for the playoffs. However, Livermore will most likely join them only when they are assured of promotion in the Premier League.

West Brom has seen their season spiral down as they have managed just three wins in their entire Premier League campaign. They sacked Tony Pulis in November and brought Alan Pardew at the club but he failed to inspire them as they won just one game under him. Pardew was allowed to leave the club with mutual consent and David Moore has been appointed the caretaker manager till the end of the season.

They are destined to go down in the Championship and this will make their players look for another club as the player will have the ambition to continue playing in the Premier League. Recently Ben Foster opened up and said that he will be staying at West Brom to help them secure a move back to the Premier League but Livermore doesn’t seem to be going in the same route as he is looking for a move out from the Hawthorns stadium.

Livermore who has represented the English national team seven times joined the Baggies last season. West Brom was a defensively solid team under Tony Pulis as they were tough to break down but this season they found it tough to keep their backline organised.

Livermore started his career at Tottenham Hotspur but struggled to get regular playing time. He had a lot of loan spells before he went on to join Hull City in 2014. Livermore is a hardworking midfielder and plays in the centre of midfield. He is comfortable on the ball and usually wants the ball on his feet. He likes to dictate the play from there and control the tempo of the game.

At Aston Villa, Livermore will be a good addition. He has clearly indicated that he will still like to play for a Premier League club and with West Brom going down there might be few other suitors for him. Aston Villa will most likely have to secure their promotion before they get their man.
