Aston Villa‘s young talent, Jack Grealish has enjoyed a tremendous season at the Villa Park as he has headed Villa’s charge to Premier League qualification. A direct entry is not in their hands as Cardiff City are leading the race for the second spot but at worse, they will qualify for the playoffs.
Grealish hasn’t been prolific in front of goal as he has got just three goals to his name in the season. Steve Bruce will be hoping that the young midfielder soon adds that facet to his game.
On the back of his overall impressive displays, Grealish has been linked with a move away from the club with many of the top division clubs interested in him, however, according to recent reports, the midfielder has said that Villa is the best place for him for his development. It will be interesting to see Grealish’s stance if Aston Villa fails to qualify for the Premier League. The reports say that the manager, Steve Bruce, won’t entertain any offers below £40million for his young protege.
Grealish was out with injuries for quite some time and regarding that he said-”I think I’ve had a bit of a stop-start career. I came onto the scene quite early and then I paused for a bit. I had a nasty injury at the start of the season and it kind of put stuff into perspective. Not playing football for six months was a big blow.”
Grealish has played for Ireland at the youth level but he has also turned out for England u-21. The midfielder is already considered as a future England international. He is an attacking midfielder but is also adept at playing the role of a winger.
He is particularly known for his ability to go past defenders with ease. However, he sometimes is easily dispossessed as he is slightly on the lighter side and can be shrugged off by physical defenders. As a result of this, he is consistently one of the most fouled players when he is on the pitch for Villa.

Aston Villa is his boyhood club and they would be hoping to keep their talent for as long as possible. However, if Villa fails to move to the Premier League, he should look to play in the top flight to improve his game further. Leicester City has been on the lookout for him and their task could be made easier if Aston Villa fails to get promoted.
