Jack Wilshere, the Arsenal midfielder, is being linked with a move to the newly promoted Wolves. Wilshere is yet to sign a contract renewal with Arsenal and this could mean that he is looking for other suitors for next year. According to reports, the Italian giants like Juventus and AC Milan are also interested in him.
Jack Wilshere has had a stop-start career at Arsenal as he has been plagued y injuries in the last few years. But since his loan move to Bournemouth last year, Wilshere has gone on to prove his fitness as he has been regular for the Gunners this year and for the Cherries the previous year. Wilshere has made it clear that he wants to stay with his boyhood club but he will have to take a pay cut for that. It is being said that Arsenal are willing to offer him £90,000-a-week. Currently, he earns £110,000-a-week.
Wolves could be the correct suitor for the Englishmen as they secured a move to the Premier League after six seasons. Wolves have dominated the Championship as they have been on top of the table since mid-November and a lot of credit for that goes to their manager Nuno Espirito Santo. The former Porto boss has made this team into a well-oiled machine as they have been head and shoulders above everyone in the Championship.
Arsenal are struggling this year, especially in the Premier League as they find themselves out of the contention in top 4 race. Their only saving grace could be the Europa League this season as they will be facing the much fancied Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals.
Wolves will need to add some more players and players who have Premier League experience to ensure they continue to stay in top-flight football. Wolves have also been generous in the transfer market according to their standards as they signed the Porto star Reuben Neves for a club record fee of £15.8million and Wolves have indicated that they will be willing to splash the cash to continue their journey in top-flight football.
It will be interesting to see whether Wilshere will leave his boyhood club to join a newly promoted side. With offers from Italian giants, he would like to go to a club where he can play some form of European football. But if he decides to make a switch to Molineux stadium he will be their main man and that could also be tempting for Wilshere as he has indicated that he wants to play his football in England.
