A thrilling contest for Manchester United fans as their side got the 0-2 win over Everton at Goodison Park. Controlling the majority of the possession Jose Mourinho’s men looked threatening all throughout the 90 minutes.
Everton made it hard for the visitors to settle into the game early on but soon United started to get their rhythm going and piled on the pressure. After a disappointing 0-0 draw against Southampton, the Red Devils came onto the pitch like they had something to prove and they surely delivered.
A penetrating grounded pass from Pogba landed on the feet of Martial at the edge of the box and the 22-year-old sent the ball past Jordan Pickford with a side-footed shot.
After the first goal, Everton upped the tempo for a short period of time and threatened the United box but the visitors did not cave under pressure.
They kept driving towards the Everton half and an outstanding effort from Lingard ended the contest for good.

Not the best going forward and got beaten on a few occasions.

Was all over the pitch but disappeared in the second half.

A decent shift but very slow to react to the link up play. Covered the midfield really well defensively.
Paul Pogba – 9/10
Good things happen when Pogba starts getting into the box and today he cast his spell on the Evertonians. The Frenchman was doing everything from everywhere both defensively and offensively. Created endless chances for his teammates and got the assists for both the goals.
Juan Mata – 6/10
The Spaniard mostly operated in the attacking midfield position and filled up the gaps really well.
Jesse Lingard – 8/10
A lively display right from the first whistle. Pestered the Everton backline throughout the game and whipped an unstoppable curler in the 81st minute. Just brilliant.
Anthony Martial – 7/10
Took a bit of time to get going but give him time and space at the edge of the box and he is going to make you pay. That is exactly what he did with a terrific curling effort.

Induced a bit of pace in the late stages and did what he does best – take of defenders from the wings and try to find a teammate in the box.
