West Ham United are one of the sides who have started their season in the Premier League on a very disappointing note and have lost four of their first seven games so far. They have notched up only seven points in the Premier League, which is far from good for them.
The East London club spent well in the last transfer window and have brought in a number of top-class players in the form of Javier Hernandez, Marko Arnautovic, Joe Hart and Pablo Zabaleta. Other than them, the Hammers can boast of a number of young players who have come up the ranks and are making heads turn with their brilliant skills to make a mark in the team for the future.
One such player, who is set to have a contract extension from West Ham is the 17-year-old Portuguese youngster Domingos Quina, who has been a regular on the bench for them so far this season. He also featured for them in the League Cup, initiating his first call-up in the starting eleven.
Quina is rated as one of Europe’s best midfielders and is willing to make a mark in the top flight with his brisk pace and an ability to mesmerize the opposition with his swift footwork.
His darting runs into the heart of the opposition box and his ability to finish from a variety of ranges has made him a prized possession for the Hammers and they are not willing to let go of him in the future.
Reportedly, the East London club are set to offer the 17-year-old a new contract in the forthcoming days to fend off interest from a number of clubs from all over Europe as well as the Premier League. ]
The Hammers got their hands on the desired candidate after a fight with a number of big-name clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea and are confident that he will develop into one of the best midfielders in the near future.
As per sources, French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain are also keeping their tabs on the young player to land him at the Parc des Princes as soon as possible. However, they might have to face nothing else but disappointment as the Hammers are not in any mood to let go of their Portuguese starlet anytime soon.
He may not be ready for football at the highest level but Quina is surely ready for first-team action under Bilic and should not move any time soon.
