Manchester United are looking in very good form this season so far, keeping their 100 percent record in the Premier League as well as Champions League intact. The Red Devils are looking in red-hot form of late and are aiming for silverware in both the competitions.

Jose Mourinho brought in a number of new players in the summer transfer market to add strength to his side for the new term. The players have made absolute justice to the investment made by the club and have performed exceedingly well for the Manchester club.

However, t the Portuguese manager might look to add some more players to his squad in the next transfer market and is monitoring a number of youngsters. One of them, Samuel Umtiti, is right on the top of his target list and the Red Devils might make a bid for him in January.

The French defender, who is currently playing for the La Liga giants Barcelona, has been in good form of late. His presence at the heart of the defence for the Blaugrana has been ominous so far this season and it has helped his side concede no more just three goals in the domestic competition.

The player joined the Spanish outfit in the last term from French side Lyon. Though it took him some time to make a mark for the former La Liga champions, he has gradually become one of the most dependable players in the backline for his side. His diligent performances have attracted the eyes of a number of big-name clubs from all over Europe including the Red Devils and Barcelona are no strangers to that.

Though Manchester United are already in possession of a number of good defenders in the form of Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, and Victor Lindelof, they might part ways with their English ace Chris Smalling in the near future. The player failed to capture the attention of the Portuguese gaffer and might be replaced by Umtiti.

The 23-year-old French centre-back is known for his ability to make crunching tackles and win the ball quickly at the back. He is also equipped with a brilliant header and has the ability to compete with the strongest of players to keep hold of the ball. He might be a very good addition to the Manchester United lineup but will not be easy to lure away from Camp Nou.

Do you think Umtiti is a good option for United?
