In a major boost for Manchester City centre-forward, Sergio Aguero has returned to training after his horrific car crash in Amsterdam. The Argentine forward was coming to the airport from a concert when his taxi met with an accident and the 29 years old fractured his rib.

The striker was supposed to be out for a longer period but in a very surprising turn of events, he has already engaged himself in light training. After just 11 days, the Argentine international is back to the place where he belongs and is expected to be match fit in a very shorter period.

Pep Guardiola will be the happiest man on earth, following the return of his main marksman. The Spanish gaffer has had a very positive start as he has led City to an unbeaten start. Guardiola is determined to lead the Sky Blues all the way to the Premier League title and without Aguero, it’s could have been a difficult task for him.

Aguero was not involved in the last fixture of Argentina’s World Cup qualifiers. The one time World Champions rode on a Lionel Messi’s hat-trick to get the better off Ecuador and booked a ticket to next year’s World Cup which is scheduled to be held in Russia.

Manchester City confirmed the development on their site. “”Man City fans will be delighted to learn Sergio Aguero returned to training on Tuesday morning.”

The striker is also one goal short of equaling the record of Eric Brook who netted a jaw-dropping 177 goals for the Sky Blues and Aguero could surpass the tally this season. Given Aguero’s knack of getting injured very frequently, City have coped well in his absence in the last couple of seasons but still, they lack that cutting edge which is needed at the crucial juncture.

Gabriel Jesus has stepped up on a number of occasions and likely to be the preferred choice up front. The Brazilian youngster has been a truly inspirational character since his arrival in the Premier League and has always tried to improve his game.

With Aguero now back in contention for selection, Guardiola will now have the luxury to tweak his strategy a bit. Without Aguero, City looked stronger but the availability of a player of his stature is always a blessing for any gaffer in the world.

However, Aguero is still facing the race against time to get fit and Guardiola doesn’t want to unleash him too soon. Will he best at his best right after his come-back or should he be given time to settle in?
