Crystal Palace are currently in the most disastrous situation in the Premier League this season, winning none of their first seven matches, thus making it probably the worst possible starts for any side in the history of the competition so far. The losing streak continued with a 4-0 defeat that they had to face at the hands of Manchester United in their last outing.
The Eagles are, however, hopeful of a comeback in the future and are eying players to be brought into the side to help bounce back into the competition and help make it a better one in terms of results for them. They have a number of players in their sight, with the name of the Everton youngster Ademola Lookman on the top of the target list.
The England Under 21 international was brought in by the Toffees in last January from Charlton Athletic and was poised for a bright future in the Premier League. However, it did not work out the way the young winger would have wanted at the Merseyside club and has now fallen down the pecking order.
An uncertain future at his present club has made the Everton ace look for other options and there is a possibility for the winger to join the Eagles in the next transfer window. It is expected to be a good move from his as well as from the perspective of the club, who are currently finding no way into the opposition net since the start of the season.
The South Londoners have looked clueless in front of the opposition goal throughout the season and have failed to add a single goal to their tally so far in the Premier League, which has been detrimental to them in the new term, pushing them down into the dreaded zone of relegation and ushering their way out of the top flight at the end of the season.
Their new coach, Roy Hodgson, who was made in-charge after their former gaffer Frank De Boer faced the sack after only the first four matches this season, is hopeful that the inclusion of a player like Lookman will help them sharpen their attack and help them to revive their position in the Premier League and provide a major boost in keeping their place affirmed in the top flight for another season.
He is relatively inexperienced but can Lookman be a hit at Selhurst Park?
