It was a season far from good for West Ham United, who finished their campaign in the 11th spot in the last term, thus making it difficult for their current coach Slaven Bilic to keep his job intact at the London Stadium for another season. However, the club authority has kept their faith in him and has given him the opportunity to prove his worth this season as well, thus making it one of the best seasons in their history so far.

The Croatian is also looking to make the best use of the opportunity and has already started revamping the side for this season. With a series of major signing in the summer transfer window, the West Ham manager is hopeful that he will have enough amenities at his disposal for the new term, who can help his club turn the tables around.

Strength-

The Hammers have brought in players like Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen and Marko Arnautovic from fellow Premier League rivals Stoke City, who have been in fairly good form over the past couple of seasons and will look to get their new side into the much coveted position among the top six clubs in the Premier League this term.

Weakness-

The midfield has been a big question mark in the way of West Ham United making it big in the Premier League in the last season. After the departure of Payet during last January, it became really difficult for the Hammers to get a grip on things in the midfield throughout the last term. However, the Argentine playmaker Manuel Lanzini has been able to turn the tide in his side’s favour in the last term to some extent but he will be requiring support from the other players in the team.

Key Men-

The Hammers have signed a plethora of top class players in the form of Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart from Manchester City, Javier Hernandez from German side Bayer Leverkusen and Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City in the summer transfer window. The fans will be expecting the above-mentioned players to fire, as they have been in fairly good form in the past few seasons and will be hoping that they will take the club to new heights in the new season.

Expectations-

With a number of key signings this summer, the Hammers are looking more than ready to kick start the new season in gallant fashion and will look to get a number of positive results under their belt as soon as possible. However, they will have to be cautious about their midfield and might look to add some able players in the aforementioned area to revamp it for the new term.
