Liverpool ended their last season on a high note, claiming a place in the top four of the Premier League, thus confirming an entry into Champions League for the next term. The Reds are now looking forward to make the next season a successful one as well in terms of results and are poised to bring in a number of new players into the team in the summer transfer window.
The Merseyside club have already taken a big step towards revamping the team by letting go of one of their veteran midfielders in the form of Brazilian Lucas Leiva, who was a part of the team for the last 10 years. They have also brought in a good attacking midfielder in the form of Mohamed Salah from the Italian club AS Roma and are looking forward to adding more fire power to their attacking front.
The man in charge at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp, has already set his eyes on his next target for the summer transfer window, the player being one of the most highly regarded forwards in modern day football Gabriel Barbosa. The Brazilian youngster had been in prolific form in the last few seasons for his former club Santos and had thereby attracted interest from a number of big name clubs from all over Europe.
The Inter Milan player, who prefers to play as a right winger, has become a potential target for the next season for the Merseyside club, who are desperate to bring in someone to spearhead their attack for the next term. With the possibility of their talismanic forward and Barbosa’s compatriot Phillipe Coutinho making a move out of Anfield in the next term, the 20-year old Brazilian is looking to be the perfect one to fit the bill for the German tactician at the helm of Liverpool.
The Brazilian youngster joined the Italian outfit in 2016 and has also represented his country at the Olympics held in Brazil last year, where the Selecaos went on to win the gold medal. However, he has not been in the best of form since his arrival at Inter Milan and has only played 10 matches so far for the Serie A giants.
Reportedly, Liverpool are looking forward to bring in the player on loan to the club, as their coach Jurgen Klopp is sure that he can achieve greatness with the right kind of guidance in the future.
Liverpool, who already have Brazilians like Coutinho and Firmino in their ranks, might be the right destination for Barbosa to feel at home immediately on arrival.
