Leicester City have been looking to turn the tables next season and make amends for the mistakes they did the last term to lose the Premier League title and finish the season in a lowly 12th position on the Premier League table. The Foxes have already started their transfer activity to find suitable players whom they can bring in to revamp their side for the next season and they have got a number of players in their sight.

Reportedly, the Foxes have bagged the defensive midfielder from Spain, Vicente Iborra, from the La Liga club Sevilla for £12 million. He has been one of the most highly rated players in the current scenario and was also the captain of his former club. The player had been one of the mainstays in the midfield for the Spanish outfit and was a part of many glorious campaigns for the former Europa League winners.

Reportedly, he has been linked quite strongly with the Premier League club West Bromwich Albion in the past, with Tony Pulis coming close to sign the player two seasons ago.

However, the Foxes have made the swoop happen before the Baggies and are able to bring in the player from Sevilla for the next season. The Spanish club has also said, as per sources, that they reached an agreement in principle with Leicester to let go of their inspirational captain with the former Premier League champions, who was in the final year of his contract at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

The 29-year-old midfielder will no doubt be a good addition to Craig Shakespeare’s side, as the new manager is determined to make a strong start in the next season and bring back some of the lost glory that the fans had gotten accustomed to in the season prior to the last one. Iborra, with his vast amount of experience of playing against some of the top clubs in Europe, is set to be one of the players to look out for in the next season in the Foxes line-up.

Leicester City have been missing their talismanic midfielder N’Golo Kante in the last season, who made a move to present Premier League champions, Chelsea, last summer. His presence in the midfield as a defensive screen in front of the back four was one of the biggest influence for the Foxes to keep their opponents at bay. Hopefully, the Spanish enforcer Iborra will be able to fill in the void and make a big contribution to the team in the coming season.
