Newcastle United have been looking to make progress in the transfer market this summer as they look to rebuild their squad in order to take on some of the biggest teams in the Premier League in their next term. The Magpies have made it back into the top flight, thanks to a triumphant season in the Championship, where they were relegated after a disastrous season prior to the last one.
The man in charge at St James Park, Rafa Benitez, has been sceptical about the attack of his current side and is looking to bring in players who will be able to make an impact when they take the field in the Premier League and help them kickstart their season in the right way. The Spaniard is currently eyeing the Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo to be brought into the side on loan for the next season to give an exuberant edge to his attack.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder had a frustrating season at Anfield last term after he was not handed a single start in the Premier League and had to sit on the sidelines throughout the last term. He was handed only a single start and made a single substitute appearance for the Reds, both of which came against Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup last season.
Jurgen Klopp, the current man in charge at Anfield, has reportedly been looking to send the talented youngster on-loan for the new season with many clubs seemingly interested in the lad. As per sources, the Magpies are leading the race to bag the 20-year-old winger and hopefully, they will be giving him that much-needed option to become the part of their starting XI in the next season.
The English winger is a pacy player and has some wonderful tricks up his sleeves to bamboozle his opponents on the pitch. He can be an absolute handful for the Newcastle side, who are in dire need of a player who can add the speed that they are currently lacking on their side and make their attack a formidable force to reckon with.
Ojo has so far made nine appearances for his current club Liverpool, eight of which has come in the last end of the 2015/16 season. The English international looked good in the outings and assisted his teammates to score on three occasions. The youngster has also been a part of the England under 20 squad, who won the recently concluded tournament.
