Manchester United have been looking desperate to make their team stronger for the forthcoming season. The Red Devils did not have a very satisfactory season last term, however, they qualified for the Champions League by winning the Europa League and are now looking to bring in players who might help in making their team stronger for the next season, when they will be facing some of the best teams in Europe.
One player, who has been linked for quite some time for a move to Old Trafford in the next season is the Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic, currently playing for the Italian club Internazionale. But his club has reportedly slammed a huge price tag of £48 million on him, which has somewhat dimmed the interest from Manchester United to bag him for the next season.
The Red Devils have now turned their interest towards the Fiorentina winger Federico Bernerdeschi, who might be available for a transfer fees lesser than that of the Croatian. The Italian ace has been one of the most highly rated players of the recently concluded season and has been linked with a number of big name clubs including current Italian Serie A champions Juventus.
Reportedly, Bernardeschi has rejected to extend his deal with his current club and might be on the move in the next season. The Italian attacking midfielder is currently busy on international duty with his country at the under 21 championships and on his return, might make a move to a big name club in Italy or Europe.
The Bianconeri are looking much interested in signing the winger for the next season to strengthen their attacking options. The youngster has scored thirteen goals this season along with laying off five assists for his team and has been in great form throughout the last season, which has earned him a lot of praise from his club as well as their fans.
Manchester United have been in dire need of a player who can play in the attacking midfielder’s role on a continuous basis. The Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho has been using the Belgian ace Marouane Fellaini for some time now in the aforementioned position and he has been performing well. However, the Portuguese mastermind is looking for a permanent solution to the problem and is eyeing either Bernardeschi or Perisic to be brought into the side for the next season and it will be interesting so where this saga ends.
