Barcelona will take on Sevilla in what is a must-win fixture for the Camp Nou outfit. Real Madrid are two points ahead with a game in hand and Barcelona needs to keep notching up the wins in order to maintain the gap. The two teams are yet to face each other and if Real somehow conspire to lose points before that match, Barcelona will have a great chance to turn the table in the El Clasico.
The Blaugrana will get a huge boost in the form of Messi who has served his suspension and will be back to orchestrate the proceedings behind the likes of Suarez and Neymar. The Brazilian has been in phenomenal form lately and has even drawn comparisons with the Argentine Magician. His form has been a huge boost for the side especially as the defence and midfield have failed to provide the requisite security for the attackers.
Neymar’s form has lessened the load on Messi and he will hope to share a significant chunk of the tally of goals and assists with his fellow South American attackers.
Sevilla won’t be pushovers though. The likes of Nasri, Jovetic and Nzonzi to name a few have been in top form for the Spanish side and they have ensured that the pressure is on throughout the season on the likes of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. They will back themselves to push Barcelona all the way and any sort of slip-ups by the Camp Nou outfit can prove to be costly for them in this game of fine margins.
Predicted 3-4-3 Barcelona Lineup against Sevilla
Defence
In the last three games, Barcelona have conceded at least one goal as Ter Stegen failed to keep his concentration throughout the match. Any further lapse of attentiveness could be a blow for them.
Enrique will apply the three-man defence formula again which has been quite a hit. Gerard Pique, Javier Mascherano and Samuel Umtiti are set to be reunited again at the heart of the Catalan defence.
Midfield
Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta will take up positions in the central midfield.
Jordi Alba hasn’t been able to recreate the form for his injuries of late but will make it to the starting lineup.
The unavailability of a proper right back has hurt Barcelona but Sergi Roberto has done a commendable job so far in that position.
Attack
The return of Lionel Messi would definitely make difference between the two teams. The five times Ballon d’Or winner would be accompanied by Luis Suarez and Neymar in attack.
