Leicester City have fallen from grace this season after a stunning last season. Their astounding dip this season means that they now have to worry about saving themselves first and the 40-point mark will be the immediate target. They are experiencing an up and down season this time around. They won 1-0 against West Ham on the New Year’s Eve. Another win was expected when they travelled to the Riverside Stadium on Monday to take on a struggling Boro side but they could only come back with a 0-0 draw.

The Foxes will start their FA Cup campaign on Saturday with an away tie against Everton. We have to wait and see what approach Ranieri will take in this game. It cannot be said that they are safe in the Premier League. Will Ranieri target a long cup run or use it as a game to test their bench strength? Well, Leicester are still alive in the Champions League and have the quality to easily turn around their fortunes. A win against Everton can boost their morale.

Here is the predicted Leicester City vs Everton.

Defence

Kasper Schmeichel will be on duty under the bar. Skipper Wes Morgan and Robert Huth will pair up at the heart of the defence. Danny Simpson will start at right-back and Christian Fuchs will be keen to keep impressing at left-back. The back four of the Foxes have experienced a drastic dip in form this season and are yet to find their true self. We have to wait and see how they fare against Everton who put three past Southampton on Monday. The Toffees will pose a big threat to their back four and can Ranieri’s boys live up to the challenge? That will be the big question.

Midfield

Daniel Amartey is unavailable due to his AFCON commitments and neither is Riyad Mahrez. Danny Drinkwater has been out of touch this season and has been in and out of the team. In Amartey’s absence, he will certainly make his way back to the starting XI. Nampalys Mendy is likely to partner him in midfield. In Riyad Mahrez’s absence, Demarai Gray will start on the right flank. Marc Albrighton will start on the left flank.

Attack

Jamie Vardy is back from suspension and should make his way into the starting XI. He is likely to be partnered by Leanardo Ulloa up front. The Leicester City attackers have struggled to maintain their consistency this season and they must pick up their game really soon.
