Bournemouth welcomes an in-form Arsenal team on Tuesday. They were flawless against Swansea City and Eddie Howe would like to keep it that way at home where they have looked dangerous quite often this campaign.
Given Arsenal’s recent away record that is disastrous, Howe will surely draw confidence to go on and win the game. The Cherries have won five of their last eight league games at home, while Arsenal have lost their last two away games from a winning position. Although they haven’t lost three in a row since October 2011, Howe will be hoping for a change on that record.
However, Arsenal have always held an upper hand over the Cherries. having won all four of their previous meetings with Bournemouth in all competitions, where they have scored 10 goals and conceding just one.
In fact, Callum Wilson’s penalty in their last visit to Emirates was the Bournemouth’s first ever competitive goal against Arsenal.
Predicted 4-2-3-1 Bournemouth Lineup Vs Arsenal
Defence
Although both the managers would be opting for a squad rotation, the only position unlikely to change is under the bar. Hence, Boruc will continue to take his position there.
Charlie Daniels had a solid game against Swansea, but Howe is likely to bring in fresh legs on the right flank where Theo Walcott and Hector Bellerin might start. Hence, Adam Smith is expected to play as the left back.
Simon Francis is expected to continue in his place as the right back.
Nathan Ake and Steven Cook will start in the middle. They have been phenomenal at times and stopping Olivier Giroud, who is in sublime form at the moment, will be a humongous task.
